“Washington Square Park:  Away From Home Survival Kit” (w/ Marion Wilson), digital video, color, sound, 3 minute endless loop, 2004.

This is a collaborative project with artist, Marion Wilson, and individuals served by the Washington Square United Methodist Church lunch program.  Wilson distributed hand-crafted soaps while Luis Guzman inspired a voice-over text that lists items he longs for when homeless.  The soap “survival kits” were then sold alongside the video at the New Museum Store. As one kit is sold, Wilson donates one to a person living on the streets.
